OJT and BCE
OJT/BCE students will learn skills to help prepare them for future work in a variety of businesses from technical to service based jobs. Students MUST turn in a timecard each week, a quarterly evaluation, and 1 copy of a pay stub each quarter. If students are not compliant with these requirements they will be removed from the course and placed in an online class. All paperwork is available in Room 3-143. Grades are entered weekly.
Requirements:

1. Complete the employment packet and return by the 7th day of school.
2. Complete the weekly timecard provided. The cards must be COMPLETELY filled out, signed, and dated IN BLUE OR BLACK INK. These MUST be submitted EACH WEEK.
3. Complete the quarterly evaluation provided. These must be COMPLETELY filled out, signed, and dated IN BLUE OR BLACK INK.
4. Provide one pay stub each quarter.
5. Provide a printed copy of an electronic time card if available from an employee portal.
6. Students must be in a paid position by an employer with a Federal Tax ID number.
7. If a student loses his job he has 14 days to gain employment or be removed from the program. There is additional paperwork if this occurs.

If Classes Move to a Virtual Format:

1. All requirements must still be met.
2. All paperwork must be scanned and submitted via myLearning. There is a page in the Employment Packet with steps on how to do this.
3. Timecards and Evaluation forms will be provided in a weekly myLearning Announcement and will also be available in the Files section.
4. If students do not have access to a printer they MUST let me know IMMEDIATELY. I will mail timecards to the student.
5. If students are furloughed due to business closings during a pandemic, they MUST still complete all paperwork and indicate "furloughed."
6. Furloughed students will be assigned coursework through AES. A document will be posted in myLearning as to how to set up a student account and access the work. The Assignment will be posted in myLearning but the work will be completed in AES.
